Richard Hooker heads up a Los Angeles marketing and advertising agency that specializes in start-ups and turnarounds. In his twenty year career, he has consulted for major international universities, Fortune 500 companies, well-funded startups, and shoestring ventures in areas ranging from the Web to financing to strategy.
Steve Monas was born in Odessa, Ukraine, and moved to San Diego when he was 5. Known as a “serial entrepreneur” (meaning: a bunch of failures and a growing trend of success) is currently living in Koloa, HI (the Garden Isle of Kauai), where he is working on various Web projects including the relaunch of ScourEvents.com and a taxi and tour business on Kauai called “Pono Taxi” proving that Shoestring Venture, is not only for web projects or e-commerce, it is for all entrepreneurs.
